Overview
The Program Specialist will support the Director of Obstetrics and the Manager, Work Groups, and their related documents, committees, and work groups in the Practice Activities Division. To provide secondary coverage for grants, task forces, work groups, and other special projects.

Responsibilities
Provide administrative support including but not limited to transcribing, proofreading, finalizing, and distributing correspondence and meeting minutes; maintaining files for multiple projects; maintaining a record of program budget expenditures and processing bills, invoices, and travel requests; copying correspondence and documents; coordinating mailings; process contract-related documents; ordering supplies.
• Provide administrative coverage and respond to inquiries; arrange conference calls; share workload with other support staff as needed.
• Maintain working knowledge of program resources, guidelines, and training materials and update with new resources as needed with input from leadership.
• Evaluate current standard operating procedures (SOP); research program issues, concerns, and complaints; and recommend administrative strategies or changes.
• Assist with coordinating document development, including tracking manuscript development, notifying authors of upcoming deadlines, and working with other staff/departments to fulfill document requirements. Update the document database; coordinate reference citation verification for documents; maintain document files; obtain permissions for document elements; maintain document files.
• Coordinate with outside organizations to facilitate document reviews for endorsement or support and improve partnerships.
• Provide administrative support for grants, task forces, work groups, and other special projects, including meeting and travel arrangements and document assistance. Prepare invitation and orientation materials. Prepare materials for mass mailings.
• Assist with the preparation of reports for assigned projects.
• Schedule meetings and conference calls as necessary and develop agendas for calls and meetings.
• Coordinate logistics and planning for work group, committees, and other meetings and events. Provide all required documents and information to the ACOG Meetings Manager. Oversee hotel contract acquisition, meeting notices, and roster development, and create and distribute electronic agenda materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• High School diploma required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 2 years of experience. Experience with project management, healthcare and medical terminology preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of computers, including Windows, MS Office applications, and Adobe Acrobat
• Experience with website maintenance preferred.
• Excellent spelling and proofreading skills.
• Ability to work with others, meet deadlines, and handle a diverse workload.
• Demonstrated ability to set own priorities and follow through on assignments.
• Demonstrate good judgment and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work on several projects at once.
• Ability to relate well to a variety of people.

Compensation
The base salary for this position is $52,000 - $62,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, ACOG offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes the perks outlined below.
