American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (ACOG) is looking for a dynamic Data Governance and Analytics Manager to lead the development and implementation of our enterprise-wide data governance framework and oversee core data functions that drive organizational success. In this role, you’ll provide leadership to a small data team and collaborate closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver impactful insights. This is an exciting opportunity to shape how data is governed, managed, and utilized at ACOG.
There are two core functions to this position: develop a framework and lead ACOG’s data governance program, lead a small data engineering and BI reporting team.
What You’ll Do
As ACOG’s Data Governance and Analytics Manager, you will:
Data Governance
- Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive data governance framework by defining data standards, policies, and ownership structures, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements, managing metadata and data lifecycle practices, mitigating data-related risks, and promoting organization-wide adoption through training and cross-functional collaboration.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to document and verify data quality standards, perform regular compliance checks, resolve data quality issues, and contribute to the development of new standards and best practices.
- Develop documentation and guides to support staff in the daily use of data systems and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
Data Engineering
- Oversee the integration of data from multiple sources, ensuring consistency in how datasets relate to one another and that data is accurately structured and transformed for organizational use.
Business Intelligence
- Oversee the application of data modeling, transformations, and calculations in Power BI to generate meaningful insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure that reports and dashboards adhere to best practices in data visualization, usability, and accessibility to support effective decision-making across the organization.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data management, governance, and analytics
- Experience managing Data Governance Committees/Councils to implement organization-wide data strategies (preferred)
- Experience managing data integration across multiple systems and evaluating the integrity of relationships between datasets
- Strong knowledge of SQL and proficiency with a data visualization tool (preferably Power BI) to support team members translating business requirements into actionable insights
- Experience in data modeling, transformation, and visualization
- Familiarity with ETL processes and automated data pipelines
- Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise technical teams, including goal setting, performance management, and professional development
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a balance of big-picture strategy and attention to detail

Note: This position is considered Hybrid and will need to commute to ACOG's office located in Washington, D.C.
