Our Marlton, NJ office, South Jersey Fertility Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to help coordinate treatments for our IVF patients on their journey to parenthood.
Hours: This position is needed Monday through Friday as early as 7 a.m. with the latest departure time of 5 p.m. Also, one weekend rotation every 4-6 weeks ACLS and BLS certification required.
Job Summary:
The IVF Nurse plays a critical role in providing compassionate and professional nursing care to patients undergoing fertility treatments. This position involves extensive patient contact, treatment cycle scheduling, medication instruction, and coordination of care. The ideal candidate will have experience in reproductive medicine, OB/GYN, or women’s health and a passion for helping patients navigate their fertility journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care & Coordination
Responsible for scheduling IVF treatment cycles and coordinating all aspects of patient care. Provide detailed patient instruction on treatment protocols, medication administration, and cycle monitoring. Serve as a primary point of contact for patients via phone and in-person communication. Monitor patient progress and provide emotional support throughout treatment. Respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR). Work closely with physicians, embryologists, medical assistants, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
Qualifications & Requirements: Education: Degree from an accredited nursing program. Licensure: Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) certification. Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical facility, preferably in OB/GYN or IVF. Knowledge of CPT coding, lab-specific order sets, and eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR is beneficial. Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment. The coordination of patient care and an important participant in policy and procedure implementations as they relate to medical services for nursing staff, primarily via the telephone.
Other job duties include but are not limited to:
- Evaluates and assesses patient’s health care needs based on patient’s signs and symptoms utilizing established triage protocols and guidelines
- Obtains appropriate input and direction from the provider as needed to determine best clinical course of action and recommendations for specific patient health care
- Accurately documents symptoms/complaints, nursing assessment, advice provided and patient/caller response. Follows policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure consistency and departmental effectiveness as well as improve health care outcomes of patients/callers and their access to appropriate health.
