Together, Axia Women's Health puts women first by delivering the personalized care needed for women to lead healthier, happier lives. our impressive growth continues across Indiana, we are currently recruiting a Medical Technologist to help us continue our tradition of delivering quality OB/GYN care at our Midwest Fertility Care Center in Carmel, Indiana. The position is full-time; hours consist of Monday-Thursday 6:45 am-3:30 and Friday 6:45 am-1:00 pm alternating weekends and possible coverage during the week if needed. |
Job Duties: Performs various hematologic, immunologic and chemical analyses as assigned accounting to established standards of quality control. Calibrates, operates, and maintains all instrumentation and equipment relative to the area. Documents all required Quality Control, Quality Improvement, and preventative maintenance. Prepares solutions and reagents. Recognizes problems and deviations from normal, independently identifies their causes, processes solutions or alternative courses of actions, assists in the resolution, and documents corrective action per protocol. Evaluates the validity of laboratory data according to the principal of accuracy, precision, methodology, and physiology. Records and reports results accurately utilizing reporting mechanism, manual, Laboratory Information System, phone and/or fax. Utilizes and maintains equipment and supplies to maximize efficiency and cost control. Contributes to a positive work environment by functioning as a team member Flexibility and responsiveness in handling all customer interactions. Performs all other duties as may be assigned from time-to-time. Analytical / Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of information and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Technical: Working knowledge of personal computer. Familiar with medical terminology and ICD and CPT coding. Working knowledge of a laboratory information system, preparing solution, reagents and stains.
Ability: Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability work independently and cooperatively as part of a team. Requirements: HS diploma or equivalent (GED) Associates Degree or equivalent from 2-yr college/technical school for Medical Lab Technology Certification is required: ASCP or AMT |
