Our Ways Of Working

Our Fulfillment Center team works on-site in Commercial Point, OH to support our physical operations and plays a vital role in delivering the Babylist experience.

What The Role Is

Babylist is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Fulfillment Operations Assistant Manager to support weekend operations at our state-of-the-art facility in Commercial Point, Ohio. Reporting directly to the Weekend Operations Manager, you will be a key partner in keeping the shift running safely, accurately, and efficiently — supporting a team of 60+ teammates across a 12-hour weekend shift. (Friday through Sunday, 6:00am - 6:30pm)

This role is for a hands-on leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is energized by being present on the floor. You'll help reinforce the processes, standards, and culture that the Weekend Operations Manager is building — while developing your own leadership skills and growing with the team. If you're passionate about operational execution and people development, we'd love to hear from you.

Who You Are

  • Driven Contributor: You have a proven ability to support operational success in high-growth or fast-paced warehouse environments. Start-up experience is a plus!
  • Experienced Supervisor: You bring 8+ years of leadership/management experience with at least 3 years managing or supervising teams in a warehouse environment
  • Weekend-Ready Leader: You understand the unique rhythm of non-traditional shifts and know how to keep a team engaged, motivated, and performing across a full weekend schedule
  • Process-Oriented Problem Solver: You excel at implementing efficient processes, optimizing workflows, and ensuring operational standards are met
  • Supportive Team Leader: You are skilled at coaching, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative and productive team environment
  • Operationally Savvy: Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and order fulfillment processes is second nature to you. Experience with HighJump/Koerber is a plus
  • Safety Champion: You prioritize workplace safety and compliance with all relevant regulations
  • Detail-Oriented: You focus on accuracy and quality while maintaining speed and efficiency in operations
  • Effective Communicator: You build strong relationships across teams and keep all stakeholders — including the Weekend Operations Manager and weekday leadership — aligned on priorities, performance, and handoffs
  • High Integrity: You hold yourself and your team accountable, model the behavior you expect, and show up consistently for the people who count on you

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Support Weekend Operations: Partner with the Weekend Operations Manager to manage daily workflows, ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and on time across the full weekend shift
  • Be a Floor Presence: Stay actively present and engaged on the fulfillment floor, providing real-time support, guidance, and visibility to your team throughout the shift
  • Team Development: Help recruit, train, and mentor team members, fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and engagement
  • Reinforce Processes and Standards: Help implement and uphold the workflows, safety protocols, and operational standards being established for the weekend shift
  • Monitor Performance: Track KPIs and contribute to achieving operational goals through data-driven insights, flagging trends and escalating as needed to the Weekend Operations Manager
  • Promote Safety: Enforce safety protocols and maintain a secure work environment for all team members on shift
  • Support HR and ER Situations: Assist the Weekend Operations Manager in navigating employee relations issues fairly and consistently, helping to de-escalate situations and protect the team experience
  • Collaborate Across Shifts: Maintain strong communication with weekend and weekday leadership to ensure smooth handoffs and operational continuity
  • Foster a Positive Culture: Support an inclusive and motivating work environment where employees feel empowered, respected, and accountable
  • Leverage Technology: Assist in implementing and optimizing warehouse management systems and other tools to enhance weekend operations

Physical Requirements

While this role involves leadership and oversight responsibilities, it also requires regular physical presence and activity on the fulfillment floor. Physical expectations include:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10–12 hours per shift) with scheduled breaks
  • Ability to walk the floor extensively, averaging 10,000+ steps per day
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 20 lbs occasionally throughout the shift
  • Comfort with pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and performing repetitive motions as needed to support team operations
