Our Ways of Working
Our Fulfillment Center team works on-site in Commercial Point, OH to support our physical operations and plays a vital role in delivering the Babylist experience.
This role operates on a 3/12 schedule on the Weekend Shift - Friday though Sunday from 6:00am - 6:30pm
What the Role Is
As a Fulfillment Operations Supervisor,Weekend Shift at our Commercial Point, Ohio fulfillment center, you’ll lead a team of associates responsible for getting orders out the door accurately, safely, and on time. This is a hands-on, on-site leadership role where you own execution across core fulfillment workflows—ensuring productivity, quality, and safety standards are consistently met during a critical, high-volume shift.
Your day starts on the floor—reviewing volume, confirming staffing, and setting clear expectations for the shift. From there, you’re actively running the operation: reallocating labor based on demand, addressing bottlenecks in real time, coaching associates on performance, and ensuring orders move cleanly through the system. You’ll partner closely with other supervisors and operations leaders to maintain continuity across shifts, while also reinforcing standards around safety, quality, and throughput.
This is not a passive management role. If you prefer structured environments where plans rarely change, or you like to manage from a distance, this will be a tough fit. The work is fast, physical, and unpredictable—you’ll need to make quick decisions with incomplete information, hold a high bar for performance, and stay closely connected to what’s happening on the floor at all times.
Who You Are
- 3–5+ years supervising warehouse or fulfillment operations, directly managing hourly associates in high-volume environments (this is not an entry-level leadership role)
- Proven experience leading teams on the floor during active shifts, including real-time staffing decisions, performance management, and issue resolution
- Hands-on experience across core fulfillment workflows—picking, packing, shipping, and inventory movement in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using WMS and/or ERP systems (e.g., Manhattan, NetSuite, or similar) to manage workflows, monitor performance, and troubleshoot issues independently
- Track record of improving team performance against operational metrics such as units per hour, order accuracy, and on-time shipment
- Experience building and reinforcing SOPs and training programs that drive consistency, safety, and productivity across shifts
- Comfortable handling employee relations issues, including documenting performance concerns and partnering with HR on escalations when needed
- Available to work Weekend Shift: Friday–Sunday, 6:00am–6:30pm consistently, including holidays based on business needs
- Comfortable and enthusiastic about working in an AI-forward environment where AI tools are part of daily operations — you embrace technology to enhance your work while keeping people at the center
How You Will Make An Impact
- Lead execution of fulfillment operations during the weekend shift, ensuring orders move through the system accurately and ship on time
- Make real-time staffing and workflow decisions to meet volume demands and maintain productivity targets throughout the shift
- Coach associates on performance, quality, and safety standards—providing direct, actionable feedback on the floor
- Monitor operational metrics (units per hour, order accuracy, on-time shipment) and take immediate corrective action when performance dips
- Identify and resolve workflow bottlenecks in real time, keeping orders moving and minimizing delays
- Enforce safety protocols and standards, proactively addressing risks and maintaining a safe working environment
- Handle employee relations issues as they arise, documenting incidents and partnering with HR or leadership when escalation is required
- Partner with other supervisors and operations leaders to ensure smooth shift handoffs and consistent execution across the building
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase throughput, reduce errors, and improve overall team performance
Physical Requirements
While this role involves leadership and oversight responsibilities, it also requires regular physical presence and activity on the fulfillment floor. Physical expectations include:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10–12 hours per shift) with scheduled breaks
- Ability to walk the floor extensively, averaging 10,000+ steps per day
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds occasionally throughout the shift
