About Bobbie

Bobbie is creating a parenting culture of confidence, not comparison. And it starts with how we choose to feed our babies. We crafted our European style infant formula with purposefully sourced, organic ingredients to give parents a product they are proud to feed their babies, direct to their doorstep. Bobbie is proud to be the only US formula that is designed to meet both FDA and EU standards.

Although 83% of parents turn to formula in the first year of their baby’s life, this is the silent majority that is often shamed for not being able to exclusively breastfeed. Co-founded by two moms and created by a team of mom scientists, nutritionists, pediatricians, and lactation consultants, the Bobbie team knows first hand that there is no one size fits all for feeding. With Bobbie, we hope you can Bottle Boldly.

The Role:

We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Senior Engineering and Maintenance Lead to own and scale our technical operations at our infant formula manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for a leader who has successfully deployed the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) playbook in both engineering and maintenance, and someone who brings strong expertise in capital project execution, change control, and building process rigor.

You’ll be responsible for establishing foundational systems, deploying TPM pillars (especially PM and Early Equipment Management), and coaching the broader team on technical best practices. Your work will directly impact site reliability, compliance, and long-term scalability.

What you will accomplish:

  • TPM & Maintenance Leadership

    • Lead the implementation of TPM pillars, with strong focus on Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Early Equipment Management (EEM).
    • Build and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability.
    • Coach and train operations and maintenance teams on TPM tools, ownership models, and problem-solving.
    • Introduce and institutionalize KPIs like PM compliance, MTBF, and autonomous maintenance maturity.

    Engineering & Capital Projects

    • Lead full lifecycle of capital projects, from scoping and budgeting through commissioning and qualification.
    • Ensure structured project execution through FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), SAT (Site Acceptance Testing), and full validation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
    • Apply Early Equipment Management (EEM) to integrate maintenance, operability, and reliability considerations into equipment design and procurement.
    • Coordinate closely with Quality, Operations, and Safety to ensure project compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
    • Drive capital project timelines, budgets, and change control processes with transparency and discipline.

    Change Control & Compliance

    • Own the site change control process for equipment, new products/formats, and facility modifications, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and internal governance.
    • Lead effective BAR (Before Action Review) sessions to assess risk and preparedness before any changes are implemented.
    • Facilitate AAR (After Action Review) sessions to capture lessons learned and prevent recurrence of issues.
    • Ensure all changes are documented, validated (if applicable), and communicated cross-functionally, with appropriate training and updates to SOPs.

    Technical Systems & Process Rigor

    • Design and implement core engineering and maintenance processes, including work order systems (CMMS), parts management, and reliability-centered maintenance.
    • Build visibility tools and dashboards to monitor equipment health and maintenance execution.
    • Standardize documentation and workflows in alignment with GMP and FDA/FSMA requirements for infant formula.

    People & Capability Development

    • Coach, and develop a high-performing engineering and maintenance team.
    • Train team members and cross-functional partners on TPM tools, change control protocols, capital project processes, and technical fundamentals.
    • Create a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence through structured coaching and daily management systems.

What we would like you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field); Master’s preferred.
  • 8+ years in Engineering and Maintenance leadership within food, pharma, or regulated manufacturing (infant formula strongly preferred).
  • Proven experience deploying TPM (especially PM and EEM pillars) in both greenfield and established sites.
  • Deep expertise in capital project execution, including FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ, and GMP commissioning.
  • Demonstrated ownership of robust change control processes, including BAR/AAR, deviation tracking, and validation impact assessments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional influence skills.
  • Proficiency with CMMS systems, digital maintenance tools, and project management software.
