How You Will Make an Impact: The Patient Financial Coordinator plays a vital role in in managing the financial aspects of patient care and services. Their impact extends across various areas, contributing to the overall efficiency, patient satisfaction, and financial health of CCRM Fertility. Their efforts contribute to an efficient revenue cycle, increased patient satisfaction, and improved financial outcomes, ultimately enhancing the overall patient experience.

What You Will Do: The Patient Financial Coordinator plays a key role in delivering a seamless and supportive patient experience by guiding patients through the financial aspects of their care. This position serves as the primary resource for patients regarding insurance, billing, and payment expectations, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compassionate communication throughout their treatment journey. The Patient Financial Coordinator reports to the Practice Administrator.

  • Verify insurance benefits prior to new patient visits and throughout the course of care
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date insurance information in the practice management system
  • Communicate insurance coverage, timelines, and patient financial responsibility clearly and proactively
  • Obtain pre-authorizations and pre-certifications for services as required
  • Collect patient payments prior to services in accordance with practice guidelines
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patient financial inquiries and concerns
  • Advocate for patients by helping resolve insurance issues and coverage discrepancies
  • Provide financial consultations for treatment plans, including ART services when applicable
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support patient care plans
  • Maintain compliance with all financial policies and procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or patient financial services required
  • Demonstrated experience working with complex insurance plans, including pre-authorizations and benefit interpretation
  • Experience in reproductive medicine, fertility, OB/GYN, or other specialty care strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with practice management systems (Athena experience preferred) and insurance verification tools
  • Strong understanding of patient financial counseling, including communicating out-of-pocket costs and payment expectations
  • Proven ability to independently manage a high-volume workload with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear, patient-friendly manner
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with experience resolving insurance discrepancies and advocating for patients
  • Reliable, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule

CCRM’s Compensation: The salary range represents the national average compensation for this position. The base salary offered will vary based on location, experience, skills, and knowledge. The pay range does not reflect the total compensation package. Our rewards may include an annual bonus, flexible work arrangements, and many other region-specific benefits.
