About the Role:
The Accounting Manager will play a key leadership role within the Finance and Accounting function, supporting core operational accounting activities and helping drive an accurate, timely, and efficient month-end close process. Reporting to the Controller, this role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, payroll support, cash management, reconciliations, audit readiness, and general ledger accounting.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on execution with process improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment. The Accounting Manager will partner cross-functionally across Finance, People Operations, and external vendors to ensure strong financial controls, operational efficiency, and accurate reporting.

What You’ll Do:
Own and support the month-end close process across key accounting areas to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Oversee Accounts Payable operations, ensuring timely invoice processing, payment approvals, vendor management, and adherence to internal controls.
Partner closely with Payroll, People Operations, and external providers to support payroll processing, reconciliations, and month-end payroll accounting.
Manage daily and weekly cash activity, including cash forecasting support, reconciliations, and treasury-related accounting processes.
Oversee Expensify administration, expense reimbursement workflows, employee card reconciliations, and policy compliance.
Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Assist with annual financial statement audits, including preparation of audit support, walkthroughs, and PBC requests.
Draft and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and documentation to support audit readiness and scalable processes.
Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and improve close timelines.
Partner cross-functionally with Finance, HR, and Operations teams to support accounting-related initiatives.
What You’ve Done and Enjoy Doing:
6–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including operational accounting and month-end close ownership.
Strong understanding of US GAAP and core accounting principles.
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
Experience managing Accounts Payable and supporting payroll processes.
Experience with cash reconciliations, expense management, and operational accounting workflows.
Strong month-end close experience with attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience supporting external audits and preparing audit documentation.
Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally.
Process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
Comfortable rolling up sleeves and working both strategically and tactically.
Tools & Systems (Nice to Have)
Experience with cloud-based ERP or accounting platforms such as NetSuite, Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, or similar financial systems.
Expense Management & Corporate Cards: Experience with platforms such as Expensify, Ramp, or similar employee expense and spend management tools.
Accounts Payable / Procurement Systems: Familiarity with AP automation and procurement tools such as Tipalti, Coupa, or similar vendor payment workflows.
Payroll & HRIS Systems: Exposure to payroll platforms and HRIS systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Workday, Rippling, or similar payroll environments.
Reporting & Data Analysis: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets, including reconciliations, pivot tables, reporting, and large data set analysis.

The base salary for this role is: $110,000/yr
