NOTE FROM YOUR TEAM
Our users are deeply engaged in our scientific content. They value, and are looking for, science-based, accurate, trustworthy content on everything related to their reproductive health, including periods, sex, fertility, pregnancy, (peri-)menopause and more. Our scientific content lives in the content tab, which is a core feature of the Clue app, and in our ‘Encyclopedia’ on helloclue.com. Content is so core to our user experience that one of our mantras is ‘Content Strategy is Product Strategy’.
The Content Manager role is a central function in our Science Team. Your key tasks will be to identify the long-form content that we should develop, and manage the production and delivery of that content through its entire lifecycle, while ensuring all content meets our high quality standards.
WHO YOU ARE
- You’ve worked in the business/operational side of content and/or media, e.g. a creative agency, digital publisher, or sponsored content studio
- You’ve managed content production from ideation, through briefing and delivery through to editing and publication
- You’re comfortable leveraging data to inform your content strategy. You know your way around a Google Sheet and have experience with SEO
- You have sound editorial judgment. Since we are an evidence-based healthcare company, this is important to us
- You are familiar with Clue’s tone of voice and you are able to adapt our content to that
- You have excellent project management, time management, communication, and collaborative skills
- Looking for an opportunity to create impactful work within a purpose-driven organisation
- You’re aware of and passionate about topical issues relating to women’s rights including health equity and reproductive autonomy
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Be responsible for managing the development, production (including writing, editing, fact check and reviews) and publishing of Clue’s core science-based, long-form content
- Use SEO analysis (using tools such as Ahrefs & Clearscope) to identify topics that Clue users (and potential users) are seeking to learn more about
- Develop detailed Content Briefs for our expert Science Writers, to ensure they are able to develop content that is scientifically accurate, accessible for the lay reader, and performing well in search
- Manage the communication, workload and timelines of multiple expert Science Writers in parallel (using the project management tool Airtable).
- Be responsible for Editing and Proofreading long-form content, to ensure it is aligned with our communication principles and guidelines, with a particular focus on lay reader accessibility
- Identify existing content that needs updating, and ensure this is updated.
- Work with our CMS, Contentful, to publish finalized content to both our app and our website, helloclue.com
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3+ years of experience in a similar or related position
- Strong editing and writing skills
- Hands-on mentality as well as creative problem solving abilities
- Excellent communication, stakeholder, and project management skills
- You are fluent in English, ideally native-speaker level, other languages are a plus
