Role Description:

The Director of Operations Innovation & Business Operations is a strategic, execution‑oriented leader who directly partners with the President/COO to drive operational excellence, performance, and growth across a growing network of clinical/healthcare‑service sites. This role balances strategic insight with hands‑on execution, ensuring alignment across product, field operations, and central functions to remove bottlenecks, improve efficiency, and deliver measurable impact.

You’ll bring a consultative, analytical mindset rooted in real operational execution—especially relevant in healthcare environments—with the skills and presence to translate strategy into action and keep leaders accountable to key metrics.

Process Development & Scalability

  • Build and embed cross‑functional processes that elevate current operations and support long-term growth
  • Design operational management systems that drive financial performance, KPIs, and accountability across regions
  • Ensure adoption and sustainability of management practices (dashboards, scorecards, operations reviews)
  • Act as a proxy to the COO for execution of initiatives aligned with organizational priorities

Product → Operations Integration

  • Bridge product and operations to ensure smooth implementation and measurable value
  • Translate product initiatives into operational workflows; support regional teams in adoption
  • Monitor post-launch success and maintain high ROI and “stickiness”

Field Operations Support

  • Partner with regional leaders to identify, prioritize, and fix site-level inefficiencies or variation
  • Implement process improvements targeting consistency, quality, and patient experience
  • Provide hands‑on support to diagnose root causes and accelerate local execution

Performance Management & Operational Rhythm

  • Set and maintain regular cadence (weekly / monthly / quarterly) to track performance across clinical, financial, and operational metrics
  • Use dashboards and reports to spot trends, risks, and opportunities for action
  • Assist regional and functional leaders in performance improvement plans
  • Support preparation of executive/board updates grounded in data

Strategy Execution & Prioritization

  • Collaborate with the COO to define, sequence, and prioritize initiatives across operations
  • Translate strategic goals into actionable plans, monitor progress, and hold teams accountable
  • Lead cross-functional projects—especially ones tied to product, program, and process innovation

Problem Solving & Special Projects

  • Lead or support high-impact projects to enhance consistency, quality, scalability, and patient experience
  • Dive into bottlenecks: analyze root causes and propose/execute both short- and long-term solutions
  • Act as a trusted thought partner to the COO, Regional Directors, and senior leadership

Team Enablement & Communication

  • Ensure alignment and clear communication across operations leadership and site teams
  • Create systems to track decisions, next steps, and accountability across initiatives
  • Build and nurture a culture of continuous improvement, operational discipline, and execution excellence

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, or similar) strongly preferred.
  • 4-5 years of progressive experience in operations, consulting, or strategy, with a strong preference for healthcare services experience.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and executing cross-functional processes that improve operational performance and scalability.
  • Experience working within or consulting for matrixed organizations, with a track record of building alignment and driving change across diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to turn complex challenges into actionable, results-driven solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting with leaders at all levels of the organization.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Former management consultant or operator with a deep understanding of business operations and transformation.
  • Highly process-oriented with a bias for execution and continuous improvement.
  • Effective problem solver with the ability to move quickly from strategy to action.
  • Able to lead through influence in a matrixed organization—building consensus, fostering collaboration, and driving accountability.
  • Operates with humility, adaptability, and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Able to consistently operate with professionalism, executive presence, and alignment with organizational values

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, with an HSA/FSA option
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Paid time off
  • Paid parental leave

  • Positive, can do / how can I help attitude
  • Empathy for our team and our clients
