About the Role:

Hims & Hers is seeking a Senior Art Director to support our Creative team on a full-time, three-month contract. As a Senior Art Director, you will lead the creative vision and execution for our TV and photo content, shaping how our brand’s image comes to life across photo and video platforms. You will play a pivotal role on the Brand team, overseeing the end-to-end creative process and ensuring our visual storytelling is innovative, cohesive, and effective. This role requires a seasoned creative who excels at both high-level conceptual thinking and meticulous attention to detail, with a strong ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners. You will collaborate with a talented group of copywriters, producers, 3D artists, and video editors to make breakthrough creative. This role reports directly into the Creative Director of TV & Photo.

You Will:

  • As an IC, you will lead and oversee the development of photo and video content, setting the creative vision and ensuring alignment with brand strategy and business objectives.

  • Provide clear direction, inspiration, and feedback to designers, animators, and other creative team members, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

  • Own the creative process from concept through execution, including storyboarding, art direction, and final delivery, ensuring all assets meet or exceed quality standards.

  • Guide the design and animation of motion graphics, including lower thirds, supers, and infographics, ensuring consistency and impact across all channels.

  • Collaborate closely with copywriters, producers, 3D artists, and video editors, as well as cross-functional partners in marketing, product, and external vendors, to deliver integrated creative solutions.

  • Leverage data, insights, and performance analytics to inform creative decisions and optimize content effectiveness.

  • Manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget and resource constraints.

  • Champion and maintain brand standards, ensuring consistency across all visual communications.

  • Mentor and develop junior art directors and designers, providing constructive feedback and supporting their professional growth.

  • Represent the creative team in stakeholder meetings, presenting concepts and progress updates with confidence and clarity

You Have:

  • 7+ years of agency or in-house creative experience, with at least 5 years in art direction and a proven track record of shipping high-impact creative as the primary lead.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring and managing junior creatives and leading large-scale projects from concept to completion.

  • Exceptional design sensibility, with expertise in art direction, typography, layout, and visual storytelling for both photo and video.

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and Frame.io.

  • Deep knowledge of best practices and current trends in photography, video, and motion design, with hands-on experience directing video content for platforms such as YouTube, TVC, and editorial.

  • Strong narrative and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to translate brand strategy into compelling visual stories.

  • Outstanding communication, collaboration, and project management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and external vendors.

  • A portfolio showcasing innovative, high-quality creative work across multiple channels and media.
