We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Manager of Acquisition Marketing to take our patient marketing to the next level. This key leader will own Mate’s marketing program to prospective patients across all channels both in our local clinic markets (and, later, nationally) during a time of rapid change and growth as we bring our business to scale.

We need an independent, analytically-driven self-starter in this critically important marketing role which entails significant depth (of full-funnel marketing) and breadth (across different local markets). We’re a funnel business: we market to attract prospective patients at the top of our funnel via DTC efforts, partnerships and referrals… and then aim to convert those prospective patients into fertility treatments that meet their needs. Local marketing is paramount at Mate: as a healthcare Management Services Organization (MSO) we provide administrative, management and patient marketing services (lead generation and lead qualification) to Mate-branded clinics across the country that are owned and operated by their own local OBGYN doctors.

This marketing leader will bring experience and proven know-how to build the processes, strategies, partnerships, and data analytics to build the patient volumes we need to take us from two clinics to one hundred clinics and beyond. The Senior Manager of Acquisition Marketing will report directly to the Co-CEO. This position is in-office several days per week in New York City.

Essential Responsibilities

Marketing Program Ownership & Strategy

  • Own day-to-day patient marketing spend and performance
  • Establish key marketing metrics up and down the funnel, and create and maintain crisp and timely reporting to surface how we’re performing against weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual targets
  • Build out and execute our email marketing program via our CRM to bolster patient acquisition at top of funnel, and improve conversion into the mid- and bottom-funnel, all the way to patients getting into treatment
  • Lead decisioning on which channels to lean into, launch and deprecate
  • Down the road, once we add many more clinics, decide when and how to launch national marketing campaigns to complement our local in-market efforts

Local Acquisition Marketing

  • Tailor our strategy for launching marketing to work optimally in each of our new clinics’ specific geographies
  • Partner deeply with our doctors and onsite partners to harness insights and ideas specific to each Mate location, and to build provider buy-in into our marketing programming
  • Set goals and budgets for marketing spend and conversion across all out-of-home marketing channels including but not limited to field marketing, billboards, partnerships, print, direct mail and local press/radio/TV
  • Identify, initiate and maximize partnerships on the ground with employers, community groups, and other doctors and medical providers
  • Conduct regular visits to partner clinics to foster relationships, provide support and gather feedback

Digital Acquisition Marketing

  • Set goals and budgets for marketing spend and conversion across all digital marketing channels including but not limited to paid search and paid social
  • Commit, monitor and adjust spend/media buys on digital platforms in real-time
  • Optimize SEO performance
  • Constantly iterate upon our digital marketing efforts (spend strategies, creative, etc) to continually improve performance in terms of acquisition cost and scale

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of acquisition marketing experience
  • Proven experience driving marketing results on a local scale a must
  • Experience marketing for locations of a franchise strongly preferred
  • Healthcare experience a plus but not required
  • Expert in digesting marketing analytics and deriving data-driven insights to inform tactical and strategic execution
  • Experience growing a marketing program to 5x or more scale
  • Ability and willingness to roll up your sleeves to build data visibility in places where it does not already exist
  • Adept at building and managing teams of internal and external/agency marketers
  • Independent and self-driven, with a strong sense of urgency
  • Creative problem solver who thrives in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
  • Frameworked thinker, especially in gray space. Demonstrated experience creating structure where there is none
  • Crisp communicator and presenter, verbally and in writing
  • Ability to travel up to 1-2 times per month to work hand-in-hand with clinic teams before, during and after launch
