Area Director - GYN/GU Oncology Sales

The Area Director, GYN/GU Oncology Sales ensures that all sales goals and management objectives are met and exceeded for the assigned area of the country. This role will support and grow an assigned territory and corresponding team, focusing on building and leading GYN/GU-focused sales teams. The Area Director will develop and implement high-level strategies, pathways, and collaborations across multiple fronts in Oncology and Oncology Dx, particularly in the Signatera Bladder, GU, and Gynecologic cancer space, while supporting the full suite of Oncology products excluding Altera. This role leverages experience, contacts, and relationships with major KOLs, hospitals, reference labs, executives, and other targets across the United States to drive volume, build long-term partnerships, and meet/exceed organizational goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Expert Representation: Become an expert in Natera’s technology and service offerings, representing the company and its business interests at the highest levels with KOL Physicians, Academic Medical Directors, and C-Suite level targets.
  • Strategy Development: Develop and execute plans to ensure rapid distribution of all products and establish positive working relationships with all key customer segments (internal and external).
  • KOL Recruitment: Educate and recruit Key Opinion Leaders from the Oncology/Hematology, Uro-Oncology, Urology, and GU medical community.
  • Team Support: Assist in the recruitment and training of all Directors of Oncology Channel Collaborations (DONIs).
  • Field Direction: Allocate time in the field with RDs, COS, and ACOS to provide direction and feedback to maximize potential collaboration opportunities.
  • Market Strategy: Provide direction and implement strategy based on field input, market assessments, and trends to consistently implement "Best Practices."
  • Business Planning: Develop business plans based on sales goals, expectations, and available resources, including regional strategies and tactics.
  • Trade Shows & Meetings: Attend local, regional, and national trade shows, meetings, and trainings.
  • Strategic Accounts: Educate and recruit Strategic Accounts and Lab Partners to offer Natera’s portfolio of tests.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with Natera's clinical field sales team to maximize potential business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Relationship Building: Establish positive working relationships with all key customer segments (internal and external).
  • Revenue Growth: Perform with a sense of urgency, focusing on achieving exceptional revenue growth and playing a critical role in the organization's success.

Qualifications:

  • Education: BA in Business, Marketing, or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in strategic GYN or GU Oncology sales/Key Accounts focus across the United States.
    • Minimum 5 years of sales leadership experience in Oncology and Oncology Dx.
    • Preferred background in medical or biological sciences.
  • Market Knowledge: Experience in GYN/GU Oncology/Oncology Dx/Pathology/Lab is preferred.

  • Ability to maneuver through complex internal and external situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; Gmail; Salesforce.com.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Duties are typically performed in a medical office or hospital setting.
  • Requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
  • May require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends) at times.
  • 75% travel required.

In addition to the base salary, we offer a competitive commission structure that rewards performance. Additionally, you have the choice of a company car or a car allowance.
