The Clinical Oncology Specialist – Lung Cancer (COS - Lung) is a strategic, tumor specific oncology diagnostics sales role charged with establishing, developing and growing a geography to exceed sales goals for our first to market MRD CtDNA test, Signatera, with a focus on the Lung Cancer indication in a specified Area.
LOCATION: The territory for the role includes the Northeast US region with the ideal candidate preferably located in Boston, New York, or Philadelphia.
The COS - Lung role will partner with other Area stakeholders to heavily target KOL’s within Hospital Systems, IDN’s & Academic Medical Centers with a heavy focus on Oncologist, Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists, Pathologists as well as select community oncology sites. The COS - Lung will also be responsible for creating a strategic territory plan, managing all business results and ROI including but not limited to: daily sales activity, new account acquisition, retaining existing customer base while growing sales, implementing cross functional initiatives, effectively utilizing resources and establishing processes for appropriate patient identification and treatment management. This will be accomplished through developing trusted relationships, physician and account education, identifying strategic opportunities and delivering innovative solutions. This position will cover several states and require frequent travel.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Learn Natera products, services, processes, policies, key internal teams, as well as competitor’s products, services, policies and practices, and payer/reimbursement landscape in the territory to be effective in the COS role.

Identify Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), hospitals, clinics and physicians that are appropriate for Natera products & services in the territory and gain their trust and business.

Calls on oncologists and other medical personnel to provide product information for the sale of Natera’s Oncology diagnostics.

Capitalize on selling opportunities and/or to influence physician, key opinion leaders, hospitals and clinics.

Responsible for the sale of the company’s oncology diagnostics products within an assigned territory or geographic region.

Monitor, document and report on existing business as well as challenges and new opportunities. Escalate issues not resolved timely or to the satisfaction of the clients.

Conduct business in an ethical & transparent fashion.

Perform other duties as assigned.
- This role requires 75% travel (3-4 days per week)
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Bachelor’s degree required.
-
5+ years of experience with consistent success in Hematology/Lung Oncology, Surgical or Dx sales preferred.

Knowledge of the targeted academic and community Oncology market, molecular diagnostics, personalized medicine and reimbursement.

Ability to perform overnight travel.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities, financial management and written and oral communications skills

A valid driver's license and safe driving record.
