POSITION SUMMARY:

The Regional Director, Transplant is responsible for building the Transplant business for Natera. Key to the success of this role will be to effectively launch Natera’s Prospera™ test. In addition to launching the first test, this leader will develop and oversee the implementation of the strategy to further build the transplant product portfolio. This leader will ensure that Natera’s transplant business capitalizes on the market opportunity that this new therapeutic area represents for the company, driving rapid revenue growth.

This leader will oversee the Northeast territories (PA/NY)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement the market entry strategy for Prospera™, Natera’s first product in the transplant space, including: market development; reimbursement; advocacy; branding; KOL development; new product development and launch planning; sales training and sales execution.
  • Provide leadership in the development, production, promotion and sale of additional transplant products and services, overseeing the development of a portfolio of products for transplant diagnostics.
  • Partner with physicians to understand their needs and those of patients to develop future technologies that can drive market growth and can address gaps in the portfolio.
  • Lead the current team with a sense of urgency and passion for the business opportunity that Prospera™, and transplant more broadly, represents for Natera. Build the team further over time as the business grows and develops.
  • Manage strategic and day-to-day operational aspects of the business with an emphasis on revenue growth, profitability and bottom-line results.
  • Lead business development and strategic partnership initiatives, in addition to managing existing strategic partnerships.
  • Create, evaluate, challenge and adjust marketing and sales plans and associated resources to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Deliver key product training for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Direct a cross-functional team to execute on business priorities, including clinical strategy and regulatory pathways.
  • Own the P&L statement and take responsibility for developing profitable long- and short-term financial plans and budgets to support growth objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (MS, PhD in Life Sciences; MBA; MD).
  • 8 or more years in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and/or healthcare industries, plus specific expertise selling diagnostics products to nephrologists.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive results and influence leaders across functions.
  • Three years managing a team with documented successes.
  • Track record of managing large teams and ensuring robust cross functional/regional strategic plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a matrixed team and coordinate and direct pan-regional teams.
  • Experience developing and using market research to gain insights into markets to build forecasts.
  • Demonstrated ability to conceive, develop, and implement multi-dimensional commercial strategy, marketing, and business plans.
  • Proven excellence in project management and in effectively driving multiple projects and priorities to deliver results.
  • Capability to engage deeply in science.

The compensation package listed is for 1st year OTE, which are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. On-target earnings (OTE) represent the total potential income an employee can earn by achieving 100% of their performance goals. It combines a base salary with commissions and serves as an estimated figure rather than a guaranteed amount, providing a guideline based on average performance outcomes.
