Job Requirements

Throughout the two-year program, there will be a focus on digital innovation and high-impact projects that align with business development opportunities. During the first year, the fellows will experience GMCI (Global Medical Customer Interface) and SMCC (Strategic Medical Content & Channels) at six-month intervals. During the second year, for the first six months, the fellows will have the opportunity to deepen their expertise within FMCOE (Field Medical Center of Excellence), and for the next 6 months, the fellows may select additional projects within Market Access, Business Development & Innovation, and/or Medical Affairs [Value Planning Team, GSTEM (Global Strategic Engagement & Medical Education), or Field Medical], dependent on workload and business needs. A concerted effort will be made to integrate the fellows into special projects for their professional development and to expose them to multiple facets of the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on the Medical Affairs organization.


Roles:

  • Gain access to and experience the daily functions of GMCI which includes providing accurate, timely and unbiased responses to unsolicited Medical Information Requests (MIRs)
  • Provide medical review of promotional and scientific exchange materials to verify scientific accuracy of content and minimize compliance risk to the company.
  • Collaborating with commercial and medical stakeholders on sales training initiatives to determine how best to leverage and train the Global Sales Force in an ethical and compliant manner.
  • Interact cross-functionally with many departments, including Learning and Development, Global Safety, Organon Service Center, Outcomes Research, Legal, Compliance, Local Regional Teams, Strategic Operations, and US and Global Marketing.
  • Be integrated into the SMCC team as a strategic partner to the Women’s Health, Biosimilars, and Established Brands franchises.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions with Global Medical Therapeutic Area Leads to help develop innovative medical content and comprehensive training material that are aligned to Medical Value Plans for each respective franchise
  • Assist in the development of timely, fit-for-purpose resources and training to support global launch activities
  • Facilitate the strategic integration of digital innovation to communicate global medical content
  • Participate in global publication planning committees and support global medical congress activities
  • Partner alongside the Global Field Medical Center of Excellence whose mission is to enable, empower, and elevate Field Medical Affairs teams around the world
  • Evaluate best practices and assess internal unmet needs to establish an organization driving world class leading scientific exchange
  • Develop tools and templates strategically aligned to the field medical engagement plans, as well as the benchmarking, collection, analyzation, and reporting of metrics
  • Drive operational excellence across all field activity


Work Experience
  • Candidates must have completed a Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited institution before July 1 of the fellowship term
