Market Access Manager - France
The Position
This role involves being a key member of the Northwest (NWE) Europe Cluster Market Access team and will serve as the point of contact for pricing and reimbursement decisions in France and as a member of the Market Access Team, NWE Cluster and will ensure alignment across markets and key opportunities.
The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, an agile team player, an effective communicator, and a critical contributor to the company's commercial success. The Market Access Manager will act as both a strong individual contributor and a strong collaborator, working across various functions and with external stakeholders to achieve market access goals.
The Team
The Market Access Managers for the NWE cluster play a crucial role in securing market access and pricing for all franchises within the company's portfolio.
Reporting to Market Access Leads the Market Access Managers are responsible for all essential tasks to maintain pricing and reimbursement according to the local processes in different countries. They work in an agile and flexible manner to prioritize resources effectively. Each manager brings and develops specific capabilities to support cross-functional and cross-market collaboration.
Responsibilities
Market Access Strategy
- Develop and execute market access strategies for prioritized products in the cluster, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business objectives and best possible patient access throughout the product life cycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate market access considerations into product development and commercialization plans.
- Lead and effectively collaborate with other functions on market access, Health Technology Assessment and pricing analysis for Business Development and pipeline products.
- Effective preparation for product launches and ensuring market access through HTA, pricing strategy or other relevant mechanisms to achieve appropriate access, drive initial adoption, and maintain long-term profitability, ultimately supporting the company's growth and sustainability.
Pricing Strategy
- Manage operational pricing towards health care authorities to maintain pricing and reimbursement.
- Strategic pricing- analyze pricing trends, competitive landscape, and reimbursement policies to build and inform pricing strategies reflective of the value of the product.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for pricing decisions in France, working closely with cluster and global colleagues, and maintaining internal pricing system (GPM) for approvals.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant pricing and reimbursement regulations, laws, and industry codes.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the market access and pricing eco-system as well as monitoring key trends within the health care system in relation to market access and pricing.
- Act as a trusted advisor on market access and pricing for France, providing insights and recommendations where needed in the cluster, global organization as well as with external parties. Including yet not limited to global, regional and local business development activities and financial forecasting.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in healthcare or science.
- At least 5-8 years of experience in market access, pricing or reimbursement roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the French healthcare systems, pricing regulations, and reimbursement processes.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
