Job Description
The Position
The Head of Corporate Media and US Product Communications is a global role focused on media and public relations expert specialized in ensuring company’s effective media presence and brand reputation management with earned media proactively/reactively, while growing and maintaining share of voice for Organon’s US product portfolio. Will manage the team of individuals responsible for US Media and Product portfolio communications, and Director of Digital Communications.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Guidance:
Create integrated earned media strategy based on business priorities and thought leadership themes for US media and product portfolio.
Liaise with all US business units, Policy, IR, HR, Corporate Development and Legal to understand market/functional priorities and develop media plans.
Serve as strategic Communications Business Partner for US Leadership Team.
Partner with franchise communications leads and US Business Unit leads to ensure understanding of global product priorities.
Contention Creation and Coordination:
Oversee and prepare materials such as media pitches, messaging documents, press releases, CRDs, briefing documents or social posts.
Manage media relationship engagement and media team to improve Organon relationships and presence.
Engage in external communication reputation activities to identify opportunities (conferences and speaking in industry).
Direct external spokesperson and influencer strategy related to corporate and business priorities.
Ensure connection to External Content creators to ensure prioritized focus on growth drivers.
Social Media/Influencing:
Press briefings, tours and events.
Speaker opportunities – conferences and events.
Partnership announcements, Business Development announcements and product updates/launches .
Customer success stories.
Monitoring, Analysis & Adjustment:
Ensure external comms vendors are set up correctly to provide best resources.
Set up monitoring and measurement media platform and engage with corporate reputation and measurement team to direct engagement strategies.
