Job Description
Organon is looking for a Director, Demand & Supply Planning Lead, who will report to the Integrated Supply Planning Lead and is a key member of the Integrated Supply Planning Leadership team.
The Director of Demand & Supply Planning leads global planning activities for the Women’s Health franchise across a 0–36-month horizon. This role ensures seamless product availability by aligning demand signals with supply capabilities across internal and external manufacturing sites. The incumbent drives strategic planning, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration to support commercial goals and optimize inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development
Lead and develop a team of Franchise Planning Leads, Regional Planners, and Demand Managers.
Foster collaboration across commercial, supply chain, and site planning teams to ensure aligned and optimized supply plans.
Drive engagement and performance through coaching, technical expertise, and change management initiatives.
Demand & Supply Strategy
Oversee global demand signal accuracy at brand and SKU levels, ensuring effective propagation across the supply network.
Define and implement KPIs to improve forecast accuracy and inventory performance.
Support budgeting activities, including Profit Planning and Tally, ensuring cost commitments and inventory optimization across internal and external sites.
Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
Lead and support IBP meetings such as Franchise Reviews, Site Supply Reviews (SSR), Global Supply Reviews (GSR), and Global Demand Reviews (GDR).
Monitor supply health and forecast accuracy through structured review processes.
Act as a key contributor to strategic planning and scenario analysis across the network.
Operational Excellence
Chair Global Supply Reviews when needed to address supply-demand imbalances.
Approve API purchasing plans and inventory builds, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and capacity constraints.
Standardize planning processes and parameters across all nodes and franchises.
Lead planning for product lifecycle events including launches, regulatory changes, and site transfers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as the primary contact for Procurement, Finance, Franchise Leads, Global Brand Leads, and Supply Chain Operations.
Escalate and resolve demand-supply issues across the global network.
Interface with Commercial and Finance teams to support reporting and business analysis.
Continuous Improvement & Technology Enablement
Drive adoption of new planning systems and processes under the Athena program.
Support the development and implementation of advanced planning technologies.
Collaborate with Master Data, Inventory & Compliance, and IBP Performance Leads to ensure process consistency and data integrity.
Role Requirements:
Professional, education and skills
Minimum 3 years of commercial operations / S&OP experience in high pressure matrix organizations preferably within pharma and/or different industry sectors.
Minimum 7 years’ experience leading teams in a Supply Chain role (Planning, Customer Service, Supply Operations, Manufacturing or Logistics).
Project Management: Demonstrated track record of delivering projects and realizing benefits within time, budget.
Detailed knowledge of S&OP, Order to Cash, Financial and Supply Planning processes and systems.
Experienced ERP / Planning Systems User
Competencies
Strong customer focus, inter-personal skills and information systems skills.
Ability to listen to others and link to others’ ideas.
Attention to detail and a passion for data accuracy.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including familiarity with operations concepts such as DMAIC, Lean 5S, SCOR.
Ability to present complex analysis in understandable forms to business stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership through influence and effective conflict resolution and ability to manage people in a matrix reporting structure.
