Job Description
The Position
You will support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and monitoring multiple civil, structural, and facility improvement projects, including:
Modernization of an international‑standard laboratory
Roof and gutter refurbishment
Warehouse relayout and infrastructure upgrades
Other building and utilities projects within the facility
The role requires strong analytical and planning capabilities, good understanding of engineering drawings, and the ability to prepare structured project documents such as master plans and project charters.
Responsibilities
Assist in preparing Project Master Plans, timelines, and work breakdown structures.
Develop or support the creation of Project Charters, scope definitions, budgets, and risk registers.
Review and interpret civil/architectural/structural drawings, layout plans, and technical design documents.
Support technical evaluations, site assessments, and quantity checks (BOQ / material estimation).
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to clarify project requirements.
Assist in monitoring progress, preparing weekly/monthly project reports, and tracking deliverables.
Support documentation related to safety, compliance, and quality control.
Participate in site inspections to observe construction progress and capture issues/deviations.
Help maintain organized project documentation, version control, and change logs.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
Final‑year student or fresh graduate from relevant engineering programs (see list below).
Basic knowledge of civil engineering principles, architectural layout, building construction methods, and structural fundamentals.
Able to read and understand engineering drawings: plan, elevation, section, detail, schedules, and MEP coordination basics.
Familiar with project planning tools (Excel, Gantt charts, WBS).
Good analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to work with multiple stakeholders.
Willing to visit project sites and engage in technical discussions.
English language proficiency is a plus.

Tier 1 – Highly Relevant
Civil Engineering
Architecture / Architectural Engineering (Arsitektur)
Construction Engineering & Management
Tier 2 – Suitable
Industrial Engineering (for planning, layout, workflow, and project management aspects)
Mechanical Engineering (if projects involve utilities, HVAC, piping, mechanical facilities)
Tier 3 – Conditional
Urban & Regional Planning / Building Management (for layout or facility planning emphasis; requires technical support for structural aspects)
Note: Prioritize candidates from Civil Engineering or Architecture, as they have the strongest foundation for building design interpretation, construction methods, and technical drawing literacy.
Technical Skills (Preferred)
Reading and interpreting civil, architectural, and structural drawings (AutoCAD/Revit proficiency is a plus).
Basic understanding of building codes, materials, and construction methods.
Familiar with roofing systems, drainage, structural members, laboratory building requirements, and warehouse design considerations.
Ability to create simple design sketches, layout options, or mark‑ups for discussion.

Short exercise (1–2 hours):
Review a simple project scope (lab renovation or roof repair).
Create a mini Project Charter (scope, timeline, stakeholders, risks).
Interpret provided drawings and summarize key technical elements.
Provide a simple Gantt chart or timeline proposal.
