Job Description

At Organon we have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Planner to join our team in Cramlington, UK. This role offers flexibility, with the option to work up to two days per week from home.

Role Responsibilities

End‑to‑End Supply Chain Planning

  • Oversee and manage the end‑to‑end flow of products through the supply chain, including production planning, parameter renewal, event management, and component procurement.

  • Document, detailed schedule, and coordinate manufacturing and packaging activities.

  • Maintain product ownership by tracking product flow, inventory levels ( APIs, safety stocks, kanban levels ) for intermediates, raw materials and excipients, and packaging components throughout the Organon supply chain.

  • Collaborate with Global planning HUB end‑to‑end planners and local procurement teams to ensure optimal inventory levels, including appropriate safety stocks for raw materials and APIs.

  • Maintain accurate planning parameters within relevant systems, primarily SAP.

  • Agree pack/make frequencies to support customer service levels and inventory targets on site and downstream.

  • Order packaging components and excipients according to manufacturing and packaging plans.

  • Coordinate and document the write‑off of obsolete, expired and rejected components and excipients.

  • Ensure timely execution of packaging activities following artwork changes.

  • Liaise with customers regarding Bill of Material ( BOM ) implementation dates.

  • Communicate with suppliers on delivery quantities and timelines.

  • Partner with end‑to‑end planners to ensure on‑time delivery of bulk/API materials.

  • Implement product transfers into the IPTs and manage changes to the source of supply (e.g., API and procured tablet changes).

  • Maintain strong and positive working relationships internally and externally.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure personal compliance with all required training and complete assignments on time.

  • Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and training materials as needed.

  • Ensure the safety of self and others through adherence to site standards and procedures.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide data and insights to support Continuous Improvement initiatives within the IPT, particularly through the renewal process.

  • Continuously improve own business processes and ways of working.

  • Use and sustain visual management systems relevant to the work area.

  • Provide renewal performance data and ensure actions and outcomes are agreed and executed.

Budgeting & Planning

  • Contribute input into budget cycles, including profit plans and EAs.

  • Provide insights related to new product planning and capital plans.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

Education & Experience

  • BS/BA degree or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrable working experience in supply chain or production planning areas

  • Experience with MRP systems (e.g., SAP) required.

  • General supply chain background and experience strongly preferred.

Skills

  • Strong ability to influence colleagues, suppliers, and customers, including those in remote locations.

  • Strong analytical abilities and comfort working with data.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems; SAP experience is a significant advantage.
