Job Description
At Organon we have an exciting opportunity for a Logistic Analyst to join our team in Cramlington, UK. This role offers flexibility, with the option to work up to two days per week from home.
Role Responsibilites:
Trade Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
Ensure all Distribution & Logistics (D&L) activities comply with regulatory guidelines and expectations.
Serve as the Site primary point of contact for Global Trade Compliance topics.
Manage VAT declarations to HMRC for all site imports and exports.
Manage Duty declarations to HMRC for auxiliary site imports and exports.

Serve as Site Subject Matter Expert (SME) for:
Export regulations and export‑related enquiries.
Inbound and outbound freight, in alignment with Organon GDL 6.2 Guideline.
Provide backup support for the Global Trade Compliance function.
Ensure D&L business processes meet all regulatory financial requirements.
Process, Quality & Continuous Improvement
Continually review, update, and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain and support standardised working practices.
Conduct investigations into serious inventory defects, deviations, and customer complaints; drive continuous improvements.
Demonstrate leadership behaviours that foster a Lean culture, empowerment, and continuous improvement.
Support the development of systems and culture that correctly identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions (CAPAs).
Improve own business processes and ensure CAPAs are completed in a timely manner.
Security Responsibilities
Act as backup to the Site Security Manager for the Department for Transport Known Consignor Scheme, maintaining qualification to level 8.
Safety & Compliance
Serve as the point of contact for Cramlington Trade Compliance within the global network.
Ensure full adherence to SOPs, including training and updates as needed.
Oversee monthly reconciliation procedures and ensure accurate trade compliance oversight for VAT and Duty submissions to HMRC, including validation and correction reviews.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
CRB disclosure clearance required.
Experience in Export Control/Management.
Strong understanding and interpretation of Global Trade Compliance requirements.
Ability to ensure compliance with global trade alerts.
Experience in inventory management; proficient in SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
Experience managing freight providers and auditing freight invoices.
Fully conversant with current customs requirements.
Demonstrated project management experience.
Strong background in Continuous Improvement and Lean methodologies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong prioritisation and organisational abilities.
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Educated to degree level or equivalent preferred but not essential.
Full compliance with Global Policies, Procedures, Guidelines, regulatory requirements, and cGMP in day‑to‑day operations.
