About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily operations across the embryology laboratory. This vital role manages staffing, budgeting, compliance, and quality assurance while maintaining the highest standards in patient care and laboratory performance. The Laboratory Supervisor leads technical procedures, supports team development, ensures regulatory adherence, and collaborates across departments to drive operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement in reproductive laboratory services.

We are seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to join our dedicated team at Pinnacle Fertility- Georgia in Atlanta, GA. While our core operational hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, this is a role that requires a degree of flexibility, including weekend and holiday rotation as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Lab Director on budgets, reporting, forecasting, and capital planning.
• Manages expense approvals and monitors patient volume to meet revenue goals.
• Creates staffing plans, ensures coverage, and oversees hiring, onboarding, development, and certification compliance.
• Directs daily lab operations, resolves supply/scheduling issues, and coordinates maintenance.
• Tracks quality indicators, resolves patient concerns, and implements improvements.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, SOPs, CAP, FDA, and DOH standards.
• Fosters a respectful, safe environment; ensures completion of safety training.
• Participates in meetings, initiatives, and maintains effective staff communication.
• Pursues ongoing education and maintains required licenses/certifications.
• Delegates tasks in lab proficiency, cryopreservation, data analysis, and training.
• Performs oocyte retrievals, IVF inseminations, ICSI, embryo culture, and transfers.
• Conducts semen analysis, sperm prep for IUI/IVF, and cryopreservation/thawing.
• Monitors embryo development and maintains accurate documentation.
• Maintains equipment, performs QC checks, and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Engages in lab meetings, QA programs, and case reviews.
• Provides technical support in accordance with HIPAA and company policy.
• Trains and supports staff in embryology procedures.
• Supports other assigned projects or duties.

Position Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a biological science required.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience, including at least 3 years in a reproductive lab setting.
  • ABB Technical Supervisor (TS) certification preferred.
• Skills:
  o Meets CLIA requirements for General or Technical Supervisor.
  o Proficient in embryology procedures, including micromanipulation and embryo/gamete biopsy.
  o Strong communication and interpersonal skills; effective team collaboration.
  o Proficient in Microsoft Office and laboratory software systems.
  o Familiar with lab protocols and committed to ongoing professional development.
  o Comfortable using office equipment and managing electronic records.
