This role is responsible for driving day-to-day engineering delivery, standing up strong development and QA processes, and ensuring code quality, data reliability, and operational excellence across product and infrastructure.

Working closely with senior engineering leadership, this individual will convert high-level initiatives into actionable engineering plans, maintain our sprint and ticketing structure, build automated QA workflows, and develop the foundation of a scalable engineering knowledge base. This is a hands-on technical leadership role that blends engineering management, DevOps workflow ownership, QA automation, and operational reliability.

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to join our dedicated team at Pinnacle Fertility in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily engineering execution and manage developer task flow.
  • Convert strategic initiatives into actionable technical plans and sprint deliverables.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and delivery tracking.
  • Maintain our Zoho-based ticketing system, sprint rituals, and development workflow.
  • Build and own automated test suites, including API, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Integrate automated QA processes into GitHub Actions pipelines with enforced quality gates.
  • Maintain and optimize CI/CD workflows, build pipelines, and deployment strategies within GitHub.
  • Manage and improve Pinnacle’s Windows Server production environment and release processes.
  • Define engineering repository standards, branching models, versioning practices, and required documentation.
  • Oversee SQL-based data management workflows across multiple SQL dialects.
  • Develop lightweight Python tools, including test harnesses, CI scripts, and automation utilities.
  • Establish the first structured engineering knowledge base and onboarding resources.
  • Maintain runbooks, architecture documentation, data definitions, and operational manuals.

Position Requirements

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 5–10 years of engineering experience, including at least 2–3 years in a lead or manager role.
    • Demonstrated experience running sprints, structuring engineering processes, and driving project delivery.
    • Strong hands-on experience with SQL (T-SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
    • Proven proficiency in Python for automation, testing, and operational tooling.
    • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions.
    • Prior experience managing Windows Server–based production deployments.
    • Ability to create order and repeatable structure in fast-moving or chaotic technical environments.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication, organization, and technical leadership abilities.
    • Ability to translate business direction into actionable engineering execution.
    • Comfortable establishing standards, governance, and engineering documentation.
    • Skilled in diagnosing system gaps and developing scalable long-term solutions.
  • Nice to Have:
    • Experience with ETL or data transformation pipelines.
    • Familiarity with schema migration tooling and release governance.
    • Experience with monitoring, alerting, and production observability tools.
    • Background in modernizing undocumented or legacy systems.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: Final offers will be based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive healthcare, dental, life, and vision insurance. Additional benefits include generous paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, and a retirement savings program. Further details regarding salary and benefits will be provided during the interview process.
