About the Role

The Surgery Center Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, compliance, and clinical support functions of the surgical center while fostering a collaborative, patient-centered team environment. This role serves as a hands-on leader focused on maintaining accreditation standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting operational excellence, and leading a high-performing surgical services team.

The Surgery Center Supervisor partners closely with physicians, clinical leadership, and operational stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient workflows, appropriate staffing, and an exceptional patient experience throughout all surgical services. This position maintains active involvement in direct patient care while balancing leadership responsibilities related to personnel management, surgical center operations, and regulatory oversight.

We are seeking a Surgery Center Supervisor to join our dedicated team at Pinnacle Fertility – New York in New York, NY. This is a full-time, onsite role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day surgical center operations to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of patient care services.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory, accreditation, infection prevention, and patient safety standards for the surgical center.
  • Support readiness for inspections, audits, and accreditation surveys while ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Partner with leadership to develop, implement, and maintain operational workflows, policies, and process improvements that support surgical center excellence.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and operational resources while optimizing cost efficiency and return on investment.
  • Monitor surgical schedules, staffing ratios, patient flow, and provider needs to support efficient daily operations and positive patient outcomes.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and retention of surgical center staff to maintain appropriate staffing coverage.
  • Manage staff timekeeping, PTO requests, call-outs, and contingency staffing plans in collaboration with leadership.
  • Coach, mentor, and evaluate team members through regular performance feedback, professional development, and accountability measures.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for operational concerns, workflow challenges, staff issues, and patient experience matters within surgical services.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and compassionate patient care.
  • Participate in direct patient care and clinical support activities in accordance with organizational policies, licensure requirements, and standards of practice (replaced “SRM protocols” language).
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Education & Experience:
    • Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
    • Active and current RN license issued by the New York State Board of Nursing.
    • Active BLS and ACLS certifications
    • Minimum of 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong leadership and staff development abilities.
    • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency with computers and medical office applications.
    • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Knowledge of compliance standards, safety, and infection control best practices preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual Salary: $105,000 - $130,000 (Final offers based on experience, skills, and qualifications).
