About the role: The Operations Associate will report to the Senior Manager of Operations, as well as work cross-functionally with our production, procurement, and client service teams. In this role, you will be providing support across a variety of operations, including: documentation of shipments and goods, tracking of line hauls, procurement of perishable and non perishable goods, analysis of costs and special projects, inventory, logistics, and more. As a key member of our operations team, your primary focus will be ensuring the seamless production and delivery of our organic meal programs across our East Coast, West Coast, and Nationwide segments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operational Tasks related to meal delivery including but not limited to: creating weekly Bills of Lading, tracking and analyzing cost of goods related to production and operations, coordinating transfers of goods between facilities, maintain various tracking systems and producing reports.
  • Procurement Support: Ordering consumables and packaging, monitoring inventory, validating purchase orders and monitoring shipping and receiving, communicating overages and risks, updating demand models and more.
    Outbound Logistics: Issue quarterly quote requests for line hauls and provide recommendations, assist with troubleshooting delivery and line haul issues, communicating with delivery partners and internal stakeholders, support holiday schedule communication throughout the year, support strategic projects with analysis, input, testing, and general operational support.
  • Crossfunctional Collaboration: Act as liaison between our Production team and Client Services team handling all communication in a timely manner and following through on all requests with a client focused mindset, liaising with the marketing team on all special initiatives and activations, and liaising with the food safety team by running temperature testing, ordering food safety equipment, and overseeing inventory.
  • On-Site Support: maintaining strong relationships with kitchen team members to ensure good communication, be a presence in the kitchen and the “go to” person for operations in Long Island City.


Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 2-3 years of related experience in operations and facilities coordination, preferably with a fresh food background.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft office, with strong emphasis in excel, as well as proficiency in G Suite.
  • Very strong organizational skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse and kitchen environment with strict timelines
  • Excellent "can-do" attitude, strong work ethic, and great team spirit

This role will be based at our Long Island City Kitchen, with an in person schedule, as well as after hours/weekend/holiday availability to troubleshoot ongoing operational issues.

Pay Band For This Role is 65,000.00-70,000.00 annually
