We're looking for a Nurse Practitioner who believes longevity starts in childhood. Someone who wants to spend their days reading labs carefully, talking with families thoughtfully, and helping kids build a healthier baseline for the next eighty years.
The Role
Compensation: ~$75/hour rate
Location: Virtual/Remote
Role Type: Part-time, 20-30 hours/week
Grow by Summer Health is a comprehensive blood panel for ages 9–18 — 74 biomarkers across five systems, drawn at a lab near home and read by a pediatric clinician with the time to actually read them.
As a Nurse Practitioner on the Grow clinical team, you'll be the person reading those panels. You'll learn our protocols inside and out, interpret results against pediatric-specific reference ranges, flag what matters, and meet families on video to walk them through what their child's biomarkers say about energy, growth, mood, metabolic health, and long-term risk.
What We're Looking For
Regardless of background, the clinicians we bring onto the Grow team share a few things in common:
🧬 A believer that longevity starts in childhood. You think the markers we set in motion at 12 shape who someone is at 50, and you're excited to work in the window where it matters most.
📊 A careful reader of labs. You don't just look for red flags; you look for trends, ratios, and the borderline values that a busy practice would skim past. You enjoy the puzzle.
📚 A steward of science. You stay current with pediatric biomarker research, reference range debates, and the evolving evidence on screening, you're the person who says "actually, the optimal range for that shifted."
🌐 A true believer that technology can democratize healthcare. You believe digital-first care, done right, can bring world-class medicine to every family, regardless of zip code or income.
❤️ A clear, compassionate communicator. You can explain ferritin to a worried mom and lipid subfractions to a curious dad without losing either of them. Anxious parents leave your calls calmer than they came in.
-
🔬 A believer in prevention and precision. You think more personalized information and more time with patients leads to better outcomes, and you're excited by what's possible when we give families the tools to be proactive, not just reactive
What You'll Own
Master the Grow protocols. Upskill on our 74-biomarker panel, pediatric-specific reference ranges, and our clinical decision frameworks during a structured onboarding period — and stay sharp as the protocols evolve
Read every panel carefully. Review full biomarker results across nutrients, metabolic, cardiovascular, blood/immune, and thyroid systems. Flag what matters, contextualize what doesn't, and document your reasoning clearly
Sit with families. Lead 30-minute video walkthroughs where you go through every value, every flag, and exactly what to do next
Write the follow-up plan. Translate the panel into a clear, written plan: diet shifts, targeted supplements, lifestyle changes, recheck timing, or referral when needed
-
Sharpen the practice. Bring patterns you see across panels back to the clinical team. Help refine protocols, reference ranges, and family-facing language as we learn
Qualifications
Required
Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
National certification as a CPNP-PC (Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Primary Care) or FNP-BC/FNP-C with substantial pediatric experience
Active, unrestricted RN and APRN licensure, with willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed for our nationwide patient base
Demonstrated clinical experience interpreting pediatric lab results and communicating findings to families
Comfort with telehealth and a fully remote, video-based practice
-
Highly responsive, proactive, and organized
Ideal
Background or strong interest in preventative, functional, or longevity-oriented medicine
Familiarity with biomarker testing beyond the standard CBC/CMP — nutrient panels, thyroid panels, lipid subfractions, inflammatory markers
Multi-state licensure (or eligibility through the Nurse Licensure Compact)
Bilingual (English/Spanish or other)
-
Experience at a digital health or telehealth company
