Role Overview

We’re seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Member Growth Lead to join our marketing team. This person will guide prospective patients as they explore Sunfish’s offerings and begin their IVF journey. This role blends high-empathy consultation with strong operational execution—meeting response time SLAs, clearly explaining complex financial options, and ensuring accurate CRM documentation.

You’ll work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Operations, offering real-time insights to improve our patient onboarding experience. Success in this role requires fluency with CRM systems, funnel metrics, and marketing automation tools, as well as a strategic mindset and proactive approach to continuous improvement. As Sunfish grows, you’ll help design onboarding and training modules for future Member Growth team members—and have the opportunity to evolve into a leadership position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Consultation & Growth Operations
  • Conduct one-on-one phone or video consults with patients to explain Sunfish’s product, meeting our SLAs with empathy and professionalism. Expect up to 10 calls per day.
  • Educate patients on the IVF journey, including financial options
  • Serve as a consistent, compassionate point of contact, ensuring timely updates
  • Strong attention to detail in order to review detailed contract terms
  • Lifecycle Marketing
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and reporting tools (e.g., Looker, Google Sheets, Excel) to manage customers, measure impact, and share insights with the broader team.
  • Experience using marketing automation and email drip tools (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, Customer.io) to optimize campaigns based on data.
  • Comfortable tracking and analyzing funnel metrics (open rates, CTRs, conversion rates) to improve outreach performance, A/B test messaging, and inform strategy.
  • Product Development Input
  • Translating campaign and user engagement data into actionable insights to inform product and feature roadmap prioritization.
  • Close the feedback loop between marketing and product by operationalizing data flows, user feedback, and experiment results into regular reporting and strategic input.

Qualifications

  • 5 - 10 years experience in marketing / sales/ operations, including proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), reporting tools (e.g., Looker, Google Sheets, Excel), and email automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, Customer.io)
  • Experience and openness to a patient-facing, consultative, sales role: deep empathy, excellent listening and communication skills, and the ability to support patients through emotionally complex decisions, including occasional calls/emails outside of business hours
  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to travel 2 - 3 times a year to relevant conferences/ meetings

Nice to Have:

  • Bilingual or multilingual (Spanish a plus!)
  • A strong understanding of the IVF process
  • Experience at an early stage venture-backed company (seed - A), especially in digital health
