About Tia

Tia is building a new model for women’s healthcare, one that treats women as whole people rather than as separate conditions or life stages. By integrating primary care, mental health, gynecology, dermatology, and wellness across in-person and virtual settings, Tia is improving outcomes and creating a better experience for patients and providers.

About the Role

We are looking for a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to provide comprehensive primary care at Tia’s Williamsburg clinic.

Our primary need is for an experienced outpatient physician who is confident managing preventive care, acute concerns, and chronic conditions. Prior women’s health or gynecology experience is helpful, but it is not required. We welcome strong primary care physicians who are interested in expanding their knowledge of women’s health within a collaborative and supportive clinical environment.

As a Physician at Tia, you will care for women across different life stages using a whole-person approach. You will manage a broad range of primary care needs while partnering with colleagues across gynecology, mental health, wellness, and clinical operations.

This role also offers opportunities to teach, support clinical decision-making across the care team, and provide feedback to Tia’s technology teams as they develop tools that support patient care.

Why Tia

  • Protected time for documentation, care coordination, and team collaboration
  • Dedicated weekly administrative and management time
  • AI-supported documentation designed to reduce charting burden
  • Beautiful, thoughtfully designed clinics
  • Quarterly performance bonus and equity
  • The opportunity to help shape a new model for women’s healthcare
  • A collaborative, interdisciplinary care team
  • Training and clinical resources to help expand your knowledge of women’s health

What You’ll Do

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care, including preventive visits, health screenings, acute care, and chronic disease management
  • Manage common primary care concerns such as hypertension, diabetes, respiratory symptoms, digestive concerns, sleep issues, anxiety, depression, and basic dermatologic conditions
  • Provide evidence-based, patient-centered care using shared decision-making and a whole-person approach
  • Address common sexual and reproductive health needs within your experience and clinical scope, such as STI screening, urinary symptoms, contraception counseling, and menstrual concerns
  • Recognize when patients need additional gynecologic evaluation, specialty referral, procedural care, or a higher level of care
  • Review test results, develop treatment plans, communicate next steps, and coordinate follow-up
  • Collaborate closely with nurse practitioners, physicians, mental health clinicians, wellness providers, nurses, and clinic operations
  • Serve as a collaborating physician for Tia’s New York nurse practitioners
  • Support clinical teaching, coaching, and case consultation across the care team
  • Partner with Tia’s technology and product teams by providing clinical feedback on the tools used in patient care
  • Stay current on clinical research and incorporate evidence-based practices into day-to-day care

What You’ll Bring

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Active, unrestricted New York medical license
  • 3+ years of outpatient primary care experience
  • Strong experience providing preventive care, acute care, and chronic disease management
  • Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills
  • Commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and patient-centered care
  • Interest in caring for women across different life stages
  • Willingness to learn and expand your knowledge of women’s health and reproductive healthcare
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary care model
  • Willingness and eligibility to be credentialed with Tia’s academic and clinical partners
  • Ability to serve as a collaborating physician for Tia’s New York nurse practitioners

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing primary care to women across different life stages
  • Experience with common women’s health concerns, such as menopause, contraception, menstrual concerns, urinary symptoms, sexual health, or reproductive health
  • Experience supporting or collaborating with nurse practitioners
  • Experience in an integrated, multidisciplinary, or technology-enabled care setting
  • Interest in clinical teaching, care model development, or healthcare innovation

Training and Development

Candidates should join with a strong foundation in outpatient primary care.

Tia will provide training, clinical resources, and interdisciplinary support to help physicians expand their knowledge in areas such as women’s health, reproductive health, menopause, sexual wellness, dermatology, and Tia’s clinical workflows and technology.

Prior gynecology experience is not required. We are looking for physicians who are clinically strong, curious, and motivated to learn.
