We are seeking a weekend per diem RN to join our Surgery Center team in Margate, FL. The schedule is on call/as needed weekends (with a start time of 7am), and must have availability for 2 full weekends per month as needed and rotating holidays (one major and one minor holiday).

How You'll Contribute:

We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the OR/PACU RN is responsible for:

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
• Provide patient education

What You'll Bring:

• Active RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• 2-3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency with IV's required
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
