Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York (RMA of New York) one of the country's top fertility centers, is looking for an experienced OR Surgical Tech to work in our Manhattan office and float to our Brooklyn office as needed.

The Surgical Tech’s responsibilities include preparing and maintaining a sterile field with the required instruments and supplies to complete a designated surgical procedure efficiently and cost-effectively. The Surgical Tech is assigned to prepare, setup, and scrub for routine and urgent surgical procedures and prepare patients for surgery, observing vital signs and other related functions on an as needed basis. In addition, the Surgical Tech would be responsible for the proper maintenance of the procedure rooms and ordering of supplies.

Qualifications include:

A Surgical Technician Certification is preferred; Medical Assistant Certification is allowed. National Operating Room Technician Certification (CORT) is preferred. A current BLS/ACLS Certification is optional. At least one year experience in acute care operating room or assisting in procedures as a Surgical Tech is required.

Open to non-certified medical professionals

Must be detailed oriented, able to work independently as well as part of a team, smart, outgoing, organized and enjoy working with people. Excellent communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills are required. Bi-lingual language skills are a plus; interest in the field of reproductive medicine is preferred.

Must be able to work weekends and holidays as assigned.
