The work we do building families offers stimulation, challenge, and personal reward.

We have an immediate opening for a Phlebotomist float to join our team to support Glenview, Vernon Hills, Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The schedule is per diem as needed with flexible hours between 6:15AM to 12:15PM. The pay range for this position is $21–$24 per hour.

How You'll Contribute:

We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the Phlebotomist is responsible for:

  • Perform venipuncture and collect blood, urine, and tissue specimens using proper techniques and Universal Precautions

  • Confirm lab orders in, verify patient identity, and ensure accurate specimen collection and labeling

  • Follow insurance guidelines and complete necessary consent forms prior to specimen collection

  • Process specimens for in-house or external testing (e.g., Quest, LabCorp, ACL, genetic panels)

  • Maintain cleanliness and proper stocking of phlebotomy and clinical areas

  • Ensure biohazard and sharps disposal procedures are followed

  • Provide timely and compassionate service to patients

  • Support nurses with specimen-related workflows and patient follow-ups

  • Communicate clear expectations around results timelines and next steps

  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to HIPAA at all times

  • Provide coverage at other clinic locations as needed, including weekends

What You'll Bring:

The skills and education we need are:

  • High school diploma required

  • Phlebotomy certification or diploma required

  • CPR certification required

  • Proficient in venipuncture and clinical specimen processing

  • Prior experience in a fast-paced medical office or fertility clinic strongly preferred

  • Familiarity with EMR systems and lab portals

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a clinical team

  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to start (unless an approved medical or religious exemption is provided)
