We have an immediate opening for a Leave Administrator to join our team. The schedule is Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

How You'll Contribute:
We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the Leave Administrator is responsible for:

Leave Administration:

  • Processes and tracks all leave of absence and accommodation requests (FMLA, STD, LTD, State) for an average of 100+ active and pending claims at any given time.
  • Transitions care of employees from leave to the designated HR Business Partner in the cases of accommodation requests as part of closing the leave process.
  • Serves as the main point of contact and subject matter expert for employee inquiries on leaves of absence.
  • Provides information to managers and employees on all processes and procedures required for leave of absence management and other accommodation requests.
  • Demonstrates empathy, professionalism, and discretion in all aspects of responsibilities adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Communicates effectively to managers, employees and vendors regarding leave notifications, regular updates, etc. throughout the leave process.
  • Supports claims administration by retrieving payroll reports, benefit summaries, and completing supplemental documentation.
  • Partners with HR Business Partners and supervisors regarding absences, return to work plans, and absence management.
  • Evaluates and provides recommendations of necessary changes to the leave process as well as policies and programs therein.
  • Maintains knowledge of current US regulatory requirements relating to leaves of absence and accommodations.
  • Works independently and facilitates timely project management by initiating, planning, executing, and completing various projects.
  • Handles other duties as assigned by Leadership.

General & Administrative:

  • Responsible for maintenance of confidential personnel files and benefit information.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Prepares and maintains leave and FMLA policies and procedure SOP documentation.
  • Assists in the development of training for management and employees on various leave topics such as leave process timeline, how state leaves work in conjunction with STD/FMLA, etc.
  • Reports to work on time, as scheduled, on a consistent basis (is reliable & dependable).

What You'll Bring:
The skills and education we need are:

  • A degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school OR two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of UKG/Ultipro experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of computer software (MS Office, Windows) and basic computer skills; previous experience with HRIS and Payroll systems a plus
  • Excellent organizational, attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Possesses strong multi-tasking abilities.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to learn at all times.
