Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for a Part-Time CLS Andrology Lab Technician to join our team at Reproductive Science Center of the San Francisco Bay Area in San Ramon, California.

• Schedule: Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The weekday shift day is flexible and may vary based on operational needs.
• Compensation: $60-$70 per hour (commensurate with experience)

In this role, the Part- Time CLS Andrology Lab Technician will:

• Ship, receive, and dispose of frozen samples
• Order and receive lab supplies
• Examine and process specimens for routine semen analysis
• Perform counts for concentration and motility, perform histological techniques for identifying leucocytes, immature germ cells, and morphology
• Process semen for ART procedures and intrauterine inseminations (IUIs)
• Perform semen cryopreservation
• Assure proper sample collection, delivery, and identification (chain of custody)
• Perform daily/monthly quality control procedures for media and equipment used in the Andrology laboratory
• Assist laboratory personnel in performing lab services in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws and guidelines to ensure laboratory maintains accreditation
  
  
  

What You’ll Bring

Qualifications and Skills Include:

• Bachelor’s Degree with ASCP certification and CA license required for performing high complexity tests.
• Current California CLS General License
• 1-2 years minimum experience, 2-4 years preferred
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
• Knowledge of office procedures and office machines (i.e. computer, fax, copier, etc.)
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated expertise in continuous quality improvement, customer service, and team building
