Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for a Clinical Operations Manager to join our team at IVF Florida in Margate, Florida.

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and must have the ability to travel between all IVF Florida locations as business needs require

In this role, the Clinical Operations Manager will:

  • Help to plan and organize Clinical Services responsibilities to increase staff efficiency and best utilize the staff’s skills and abilities
  • Develop and coordinate the following clinical staffing schedules to ensure appropriate staffing: weekends, holidays, and the after-hours RN On Call service; assist with the resolution of scheduling issues
  • Assist with timekeeping and payroll duties if supervisors are unavailable, or as needed
  • Coordinate and facilitate the effective delivery of patient services within Clinical Services by regularly monitoring patient flow and program operations
  • Make site visits to the offices on a quarterly basis, or more frequently as needed, to provide onsite clinical process evaluation and assistance to the Supervisors and staff
  • Assist department and supervisors with processing patient or program incidents and help to prepare necessary documentation as needed
  • Under the direction of the Executive Director, conduct individual supervision/counseling sessions, frequently in conjunction with the employee’s direct supervisor, and assist with the completion of all necessary documentation
  • Write and administer performance appraisal evaluations for staff under the supervision of the Executive Director and in conjunction with the Business Operations Manager, as needed
  • Assist in addressing and resolving day-to-day issues that pertain to the Clinical Operations Department
  • Provide relief supervision on site for Supervisors on an as needed basis
  • Assist primary nurses with patient care and/or callbacks as needed
  • Handle patient issues/complaints in a timely, calm, and professional manner
  • Be able to monitor patients throughout the treatment plan, providing direction and education
  • Communicate physician orders and laboratory results with appropriate interpretation and explanation
  • Assist with the phone triage of patient calls when needed
  • Assist the physician and team to resolve patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
  • Review patient records for completion of treatment inclusive of medical history, appropriate laboratory work, and informed consents
  • Assist patient services to prioritize patient appointments, and handle emergency visits when needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

            What You’ll Bring

            Qualifications and Skills Include:

            • BS in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Education, or Business Management required; Masters degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Management preferred
            • RN (2 year degree program) required
            • Current Florida State RN/Compact RN license without limitations required
            • Minimum of 3 years prior Supervisory/Management experience, and demonstrated leadership qualities and activities required
            • Minimum of 5 years experience in women’s health care with 3 years IVF experience preferred
            • Current CPR certification, or acquired within 1 month of employment
            • Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to form professional relationships with multi-cultural patients and their families, physicians, subordinate staff, and other members of the management team
            • Ability to resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner required
            • Verbal and written abilities to communicate accurately and concisely required
            • Ability to work well independently and demonstrate good judgment, along with the ability to function as a member of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team
            • Well organized, the ability to plan, and supervise and motivate staff
            • Demonstrated expertise in continuous quality improvement, customer service, and team building
            • Knowledge of clinical procedures, program operations, computer software, and equipment; proficiency in Microsoft Office required including Work and Excel
            • Ability to travel to all IVF Florida locations, including overnight travel as needed
