We’re seeking a Senior Benefit Design Associate to join our Client Operations team and play a critical role in closing gaps in access to care for Maven members globally across all paths to parenthood through financial benefit design and delivery. Reporting to the Senior Benefit Design Manager, this role will support the design, documentation, and improvement of our Maven Wallet benefit programs, ensuring employers receive consultative, tailored design support and members receive accurate, equitable financial support.

As a Senior Benefit Design Associate, you will:

  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert (SME) on complex plan design, benefit interpretation, and compliance-related questions, supporting Maven’s Client Success, Client Delivery, and Sales teams
  • Selectively participate in prospect and client-facing meetings as needed as a benefit design subject matter expert
  • Design and refine coverage policies using best practices informed by research, competitive intelligence, and market analysis
  • Analyze Maven’s book of business to identify opportunities to enhance existing benefit designs for Maven’s clients
  • Maintain detailed and accurate internal documentation for Maven’s large and diverse client base, ensuring year-over-year consistency and high-quality standards
  • Support benefit design changes during employer implementation and renewals, partnering closely with internal teams throughout the process
  • Conduct quality assurance on benefit configurations, documentation, and logic to ensure accuracy and alignment with client intent
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Growth, Operations, and Product teams to ensure smooth implementation, operational excellence, and scalable processes

We’re looking for you to bring:

  • At least 3 years of experience in employer benefits, payer organizations, HR/benefits consulting, or other relevant health benefits roles
  • Strong understanding of health and wellness benefit structures and the U.S. health insurance marketplace
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams while also exercising independent judgment
  • Bachelor’s degree required

The base salary range for this role is $98,000 - $115,000 per year. You will also be entitled to receive equity and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.

This role requires active work authorization in the US.

Maven embraces a flexible hybrid work model. Our teams primarily operate from the New York Metropolitan area, NY, and remotely via San Francisco/Bay Area, CA, Seattle, WA, Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, and Washington, D.C. For those in our New York City office, we encourage in-person collaboration by requiring team members to work onsite three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). For those based in San Francisco/Bay Area, CA, Seattle, WA, Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, and Washington, D.C., we encourage in-person collaboration by requiring team members to attend quarterly Work Together Days within these cities. This policy aims to balance remote work flexibility with the benefits of face-to-face interaction.
